Department of Education fund DASH in South West Victoria

We would like to acknowledge funding support from the Victorian Department of Education to deliver our DASH program across the South West Region of Victoria.
This is an initiative of the Department of Education’s Strategic Partnerships Program (SPP). The program provides funding to not-for-profit organisations to deliver programs to improve student achievement, engagement, health and wellbeing as well as teacher capacity.
Blue Light Victoria will deliver twelve DASH programs across the region reaching over 300 students. DASH is 9-week, whole classroom program for students in Years 5 & 6 that develops students’ community connections and provides young people with a voice and agency to influence change in their local communities.
We utilise our partnerships with police and emergency services to access members to participate in the DASH sessions as community role models. This builds trust, awareness, empathy and connection to community. The programs will commence in July this year and run over a 9-week period with the student-led community project being delivered at the end of each program.
Blue Light Victoria would like to take this opportunity to thank the Victoria Department of Education for their funding support.
Head to our DASH page to learn more about the program or contact our Programs Team on email:  [email protected]
