Corporate governance
Blue Light Victoria is a not-for-organisation, registered with the Australian Charities and Non-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
We are a Public Benevolent Institution and endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as an Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC).
Accountability
We are committed to conducting all our activities with the highest ethical standards and integrity. Our people, including Board members, employees and volunteers, are required to sign our Code of Conduct and undergo regular training, including Child Safety Standards.
Our strategic plan reflects our dedication to continuous learning, adaptation, and growth to enhance the effectiveness of our interventions, advocacy efforts, and overall operations.
Additionally, our organisational policies cover areas such as safety, privacy, bullying and harassment, and equity and equal opportunity. These policies support our employees and volunteers in maintaining our rigorous standards of ethical behavior.
Child safety
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. This is the primary focus of our care and decision-making. Blue Light Victoria has zero tolerance for child abuse.
We are committed to providing an environment where young people feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. We pay particular attention to the cultural safety of first nations young people and young people from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as the safety of young people with a disability or of a diverse gender.

We welcome your feedback and questions, and we take complaints very seriously. Any complaint or dispute we receive will be dealt with fairly and in compliance with our legal requirements and duty of care towards children.
