Volunteer in Our Programs
Our programs rely on committed volunteers who help create safe, engaging and supportive environments for young people.
Volunteer opportunities may include:

Supporting school-based programs such as DASH, Blue EDGE and CoRE

Assisting with 1:1 mentoring programs

Helping facilitate activities, discussions or group sessions

Supporting program delivery alongside trained staff and police members
Volunteers bring relevant experience working with young people, along with a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn. All volunteers undergo child safety screening and receive comprehensive training, induction and ongoing support.
Volunteer with a Local Blue Light Branch
Blue Light branches operate across Victoria and play a vital role in delivering local events and activities that bring communities together.
Branch volunteers may be involved in:

Planning and supporting local events and activities

Committee and governance roles

Fundraising and community engagement

Supporting partnerships with local police and community organisations

Volunteer Screening and Child Safety
Blue Light Victoria is committed to providing safe, inclusive and supportive environments for all young people involved in our programs and activities. To uphold this commitment, all volunteer applications are subject to screening in line with the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
All volunteers are required to:

Complete a National Police Check

Undertake role-specific training and induction

Sign an agreement confirming understanding of the Code of Conduct for Working with Children

Read, understand and comply with the Blue Light Victoria Child Safety Policy
