Ian is the Director of Security & Emergency Management at the Victorian Department of Education. 

He has a strong history with Victoria Police having served as a sworn member for over 25 years before then working as an executive in the public service across a number of departments including Youth Justice.  He also spent time in Antarctica as the Station Leader of David Station. 

Ian has a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Policing and a Master’s in Business Leadership. He has been a member of the Board at Blue Light Victoria since February 2022.
